A firm run by the family whose name is on the door. Three generations of Whitemores, and the team that has grown alongside them.
Our story
A firm built one generation at a time.
1952
Edward Whitemore Sr. opens the firm's doors, taking on the first clients who would trust the Whitemore name with their business. The practice started small: a handful of local business owners who needed a lawyer they could call directly.
1981
Richard Whitemore, Edward Sr.'s son, joins the practice. The firm expands its work into corporate and transactional law, following its clients as their companies grow past their first years.
2009
The firm grows to twelve attorneys, still advising many of the same families and companies it started with, now often across a second generation of ownership on their side too.
2026
Whitemore & Sons continues to grow, still run by the family whose name is on the door, still taking the same first call from a new business owner the same way it always has.
Three commitments
to your business.
Confidentiality
& Trust
Your company's information stays protected, always, without exception.
Personalized
Service
Every engagement is built around your specific goals, not a standard template.
Expertise
& Experience
Three generations of practical business law experience applied to your situation.
For three generations, the Whitemore family has advised business owners on the legal decisions that matter most. We focus on finding solutions, and we understand business relationships because we've built our own the same way.
FOUNDING PARTNER
Edward Whitemore
Edward is Richard Whitemore's son and Edward Whitemore Sr.'s grandson. He took over the firm's leadership in 2009 and has spent his career advising local business owners on the decisions that shape their companies. He still takes on client matters personally, alongside guiding the firm's next generation.
PARTNER & CORPORATE LAW
Margaret Whitemore
Margaret leads the firm's corporate and transactional practice, advising clients on formation, contracts, and mergers and acquisitions. She joined the firm in 2015 after seven years at a larger Brussels firm, and now leads much of the firm's day to day client work.
ASSOCIATE
Julian Reyes
Julian works across the firm's contract and corporate governance matters, supporting clients from first engagement through closing. He's known for being the person clients can always reach with a quick question.
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Thomas Verhoeven
Thomas handles the firm's mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters, working closely with Margaret on the firm's larger transactions. He joined the firm in 2017 and is known for staying on a deal through the smallest details, right up to closing.
OF COUNSEL
Isabelle Marchetti
Isabelle advises the firm on employment law and business disputes, drawing on twenty years of experience before joining Whitemore & Sons in 2020. She works closely with the firm's partners on matters that call for a second, more senior opinion.
OFFICE MANAGER
Charlotte Dunn
Charlotte keeps the firm running, from client scheduling to the details that make sure nothing falls through the cracks. She's often the first person a new client speaks to.
We're looking for law minds.
We look for lawyers and professionals who work with precision, take ownership, and care about the outcome for our clients as much as we do. Joining Whitemore & Sons means working directly on client matters from day one, not sitting behind years of review.
